John Eagle Ultra CORPS! 2004

Astronaut John Eagle by Lanard’s Ultra CORPS! 1/6th line was one of two Ultra CORPS! figures I received for Christmas 2003.

I don't remember much about taking this one.  I may have shot this image with one of my old video cameras on 'still mode'.  For a while I was on a kick to take pictures that looked like old Life Magazine photos.

X-Files Vibe UPDATE

 19 years later.  It looks like Ooni was nursed back to health, and joined The Team.

One afternoon in 2002, the kids and I set up a 'UFO crash' in the backyard.  Here's one of the photos heavily edited with MS Paint.  The uniforms and gear are a mix from a bunch of different figures and kits.  The ID tags I made in MS Paint, printed, cut out, and 'laminated' with Scotch Tape.  The creature is a Galidor "Ooni".  We still have him and all his friends too.

Before Photoshop, I used MS Paint on my old XP desktop.  I can't remember if I did this in 2002, or '03.

I really enjoyed Formative International's Soldiers Of The World.  To me they where a huge part of the sixth scale renascence of the late 90's, early 00's.  Their second wave of figures, the ones with "Outstanding Articulation" printed on the box, were well thought out, very well detailed, quality toys available at a reasonable price.   Shot with my old Fujifilm FinePix 2650.
